Last November, we asked for your help and you responded. Together with members from other Mutuals, $59,866 was raised through the Australian Mutuals Foundation’s (AMF) disaster relief portal to help those affected by the unprecedented bushfires. G&C Mutual Bank contributed $10,000 to the Bushfire Appeal to help support communities at a time when they needed us most.

The AMF redirected 100 percent of these donations to the St Vincent De Paul Society to help those severely impacted rebuild their lives. Your donation has made a huge difference by:

  • Providing food, clothing, essential items and grocery vouchers.
  • Paying bushfire victims’ unexpected bills while they worked through the recovery process.
  • Making referrals to specialised organisations to provide crisis accommodation.
  • Giving much-needed emotional support as well as practical assistance to help those affected.

“Thank you” on behalf of all those helped by your donation.

About the AMF

The primary purpose of the AMF is to provide a vehicle for Mutual Banks, Credit Unions, Building Society and Cooperative banking to assist needy children in Australia, alleviate poverty in communities in South East Asia and the Pacific through sustainable cooperative financial organisations, and to provide a mechanism for donations to assist those affected by natural disasters.
