We are delighted to announce that G&C Mutual Bank has become an Associate Member Bank of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV). There are only two other Australian bank members, so it’s a great achievement for G&C Mutual Bank to be invited to join the network.

As a member-owned, member-focused organisation, G&C Mutual Bank is closely aligned with the GABV’s mission to promote a positive, viable banking model that’s focused on meeting human needs and sustainability. The network’s member banks share a commitment to using finance to deliver sustainable economic, social and environmental development. There is a strong focus on helping individuals fulfil their potential and build stronger communities, which also resonates with our own values.

G&C Mutual Bank already offers a different kind of banking, which places our members at the centre of everything we do. We consistently provide member service that’s based on understanding our members’ needs, and we’re always there when our members need us most. Building long-term relationships with our members, based on mutual trust and respect, and helping individuals and communities succeed are central to our business ethos. As we already recognise the importance of values-based banking and supporting the community, we believe that G&C Mutual Bank’s culture and Banking on your community brand proposition are a perfect fit for the GABV network.

We look forward to participating in GABV activities and further developing our values-based banking proposition in due course.
