G&C Mutual Bank has a long and enduring relationship with NSW Ambulance, having sponsored their employee awards for over ten years. We're delighted to announce the March recipient of the NSW Ambulance Employee of the Month Award: Halcyon Mitchell. Congratulations Halcyon!

NSW Ambulance Employee of the Month for March

Halcyon Mitchell, Acting Station Officer, Sydney Ambulance Centre

A paramedic for eight years, Halcyon has been recognised for her efforts in going above and beyond her duties to ensure her workplace is organised and creates positive morale among staff.

“I’m a little surprised to be named Employee of the Month – it really is lovely recognition from my colleagues,” she said.

“I work as an acting station officer on and off, but I continue to do many of the roles when I’m not a station officer."

“They (work colleagues) like to call me the mum of the station because I like to keep things going. I like to be the kind of person who is always approachable, whether it be for advice or equipment. I think it’s really important to have those types of people in a station.”

Halcyon received a $250 G&C Mutual Bank savings account and the opportunity to receive a further $2,000 G&C Mutual Bank savings account for the NSW Ambulance Employee of the Year Award. The recipient of the Employee of the Year Award will be chosen from the 2021 Honour Roll of Employees of the Month.

Thank you, NSW Ambulance, for everything you do for our community.
