The Online PIN Change service helps you to create or change the PIN on any of your cards, at any time, within the secure environment of Online Banking or our Mobile App.

How does it work?

  • Set your own PIN for a newly issued or replacement card.
  • Change the PIN on any of your cards, at any time, within the secure environment of Online Banking or our Mobile App.
  • A fast, free and easy to use service.
  • Your new PIN will be available to use straight away.

Benefits

  • To access this facility, you must be registered for the SMS One Time Password service.
  • You can access this service via Online Banking Services/PIN Change Services. View the demo on How to set your PIN online.
  • Remember, when choosing a new PIN it’s important to avoid numbers that can be easily guessed (e.g. your birthday or anniversary), otherwise you may be liable for unauthorised transactions.

 

Please note: Once the SMS One Time Password service has been activated, please log out of Online Banking and then log back in to access the menu option for Online PIN Change under Services.

Q: Is changing my PIN using Online Banking safe?

A: Yes, the service utilises all the security settings in the Online Banking service. It also has a second layer of security as you will need to authenticate any changes using our SMS One Time Password service.

 

Q: Can I change my PIN in Online Banking without using One Time Passwords (OTPs)?

A: No, you need to enter your SMS One Time Password while completing the PIN change process.

 

Q: Do I need to know my PIN to be able to change my PIN in Online Banking?

A: No, you do not need to know your PIN to use the service, but you do need to be registered for our SMS One Time Password service.

 

Q: How long before the new PIN is ready to be used?

A: Your new PIN is ready to use immediately.
